Outgoing Mail

In American warfare vernacular, outgoing mail is a term for friendly artillery intended for the enemy. Here at Tigerbait, it's a you tube to get you in the the right mood about the Tiger's whipping their next opponent and just getting out of the office for the weekend. I give you: Waffle by Sevendust.

Man was this song ever badass when Sevendust performed it Monday night at the Varsity here in Baton Rouge, first time they've played there since when I was a young lad in school. This show rocked even more. To put it in perspective, this was an off night from their tour with Disturbed and they scheduled this show. I couldn't have been happier as they put on quite a show. Just like back in the day when I first saw them, talking with Vinnie, Clint and Lajon was a pleasure. It's great to see a band who can just kick your ass and then are humble regular guys after the show. If you dig on hard rock/metal, you must check these guys out.

Turns out I was right about LSU basketball as they are rolling right along and are in first place in the conference. I did not think they would be at the top, but hey LSU is playing about to the level I expected them to and the conference is weak so there you go. Do I expect them to stay there? Why not? They won about as tough a game you could throw at them the other night at Miss State. Now, I don't expect them roll the likes of Florida, Kentucky and the decent teams left on the schedule. But I expect them to hold their own and win the West.

The weather ain't so great here, but there are some parades to check out and Sevendust cds to rock out to so I'll be having my fun. I hope you do too.

  1. (breaking my silence) sevendust is probably the best hard rock band on the planet of the last decade. cool dudes, consistently great albums, and even better shows.

sign of a great band: their 6th album may have damn well been their best.

  2. Couldn't have said it any better.

Gerry, I think they are moving west to east, but catch them if you have a chance.

Not that you don't know you should or don't want to or haven't already.

They are rapidly solidifying themselves as one of my favorites considering the quality of the music they put out and then the live performances they back that up with.

  3. My eardrums are blown. Man that group is good.

Dude, Sirius/XM has a station that plays these guys all of the time.

BTW, I agree with you about the B-Ball team. These guys play with heart, something we never saw the past few seasons with Brady. I have actually enjoyed LSU basketball for the first time in a few years.
