Looks like Flynn is back for South Carolina. And it seems he'll be cleared to run as well.
Matt's improving. We could have used him last Saturday if we
needed. We'll likely play him this Saturday. When he goes on the field, we won't
stop him from doing anything.
Doucet however, is another matter.
Early has a pretty significant injury. He's a ways away from playing. We hope to
get him back as soon as we can.

Although I wish Early Doucet would get a chance to shine this year in his own right, I think we're deep at WR and the young guns will step up. USC and Tulane will be good prep for them because Florida is on the horizon.
Cocks having legal troubles of their own.
Defensive dominos for the Cocks. DT Pepper is out of Saturday's contest with a knee sprain. He started all three games for the Cocks this season, and has 15 career starts. He isn't the most productive tackler the Cocks have, with only 5 stops in three games, but his 291 lbs is being replaced with a talented but much smaller C. Brinkley (255lbs) who has been playing outside LB. Brinkley is being replaced by freshman Cliff Matthews. So, a smaller, less experienced defensive front will face our offensive line, and that's not a bad thing. (Source: SC's LSU Game Notes)

I watched the first half of the MTSU game last night on LSUSports.net. Before I nodded off - it's tough chasing a two-year-old up and down a beach - I determined that my initial perception of the offensive line was correct. Although MTSU only had two sacks and a few tackles for loss, their defensive line spent a lot of time in our backfield. Perrilloux was rushed a lot, and ran a lot - many times because he had to. This against a defense that gave up over 700 yards against Louisville. And, we had a few too many offensive line penalties again.

I know, I know - relax, enjoy a great season. I am, and I am.

I'm just sayin' - if we have a weak link right now, it's the o-line, and it's an issue that teams like Florida and Alabama and Arkansas (and maybe South Carolina and Kentucky) will be able to exploit.
The Cocks trounced the SCSU Bulldogs 38-3. But Spurrier puts it in context for us.
It was frustrating. It was a game obviously we had a chance a
whole bunch of points. We had a chance to score 60 or so. But we couldn't do it.
Turnovers caused much of Spurrier's discontent - 6 turnovers to be exact. QB Mitchell: "I just played like crap really."

Although we don't need Mitchell to "play like crap" again for LSU to win, let's hope the Cocks hand a few over on Saturday night as well.

LSU and USC: Is it a date? We'll see, but there's a lot of football between here and there.
