Outgoing Mail

In American warfare vernacular, outgoing mail is a term for friendly artillery intended for the enemy. Here at Tigerbait, it's a you tube to get you in the the right mood about the Tiger's whipping their next opponent and just getting out of the office for the weekend. I give you: Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups.

It's an open date so you get some nice, happy, laid back music. Silversun Pickups have a very nice groove going and then they mix in some solid rock. I heartily recommend you go get their album Carnavas. I have tried to wear this cd out and I still am not tired of it. So be sure and check them out. Not bad for a band formed and refined in Hollywood.

Pittman over at ATVS has some smart words about our pass defense via analysis of some newspaper articles, so don't miss that. Also at ATVS, they are now a part of MGoBlog's blogpoll for college football. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to the be LSU blog having a vote there. But then I recognize how lazy I am and my propensity to flount authority. Thus I realize my blog poll, when I actually got around to making on, would always have defending champs like LSU #1 until they lose, there would be no pac-1 teams (yes, I left out the zero on purpose), I would rank the hell out of Vandy forget how good they may or may not be, it would generally be gibberish and irrationational.

Not much else to say, I hate bye weeks because of the emptiness. However, I value them for the rest and focus they can provide for the team. I think with LSU off and UF going to Ark, LSU will go into a very winnable game in Gainesville. In the meantime, hope your weekend is nice.

  1. i don't know much of anything about this band outside of this song, but i've always felt this was an underrated song. it got very little radio play, but the guitar riff is ridiculously catchy.

  2. That and another track (Melatonin) got some airplay, especially on the college stations (like KLSU round here) and the hipper/better rock stations.

You are right about catchy and underrated, that song is the tits.

They played in Baton Rouge right before I caught on to them. I'm told they're excellent live as well.

Pick up the cd, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

  3. Going to Arkansas is just like a bye week. How does that help LSU?
