Outgoing Mail

In American warfare vernacular, outgoing mail is a term for friendly artillery intended for the enemy. Here at Tigerbait, it's a you tube to get you in the the right mood about the Tiger's whipping their next opponent and just getting out of the office for the weekend. I give you: Papa's Got A Brand New Bag by James Brown.

Cause damn it football is here and saturday I will feel like a king. If you don't feel it, that excitement from that or some kick ass funk and dancing from James Brown, then I weep for your soul.

I also weep for App. St. I've been watching the football shows and one topic the media loves bringing up is can the Mountaineers do it again? Can they shake up the cfb world? Can LSU fall in an upset? It's been getting a ton of hype. Whenever they brought it up Thursday night during the games, it was about last year versus this year, App. St. shocking Michigan and trying to do it again versus LSU. Let me tell you something, it. Ain't. Gonna. Happen. Not even close. Nothing against the kids from Boone, they are a fine team, program and fan base. I've always had a place from them in my heart and thought highly of them when they turned around and gave back a huge portion of their check the last time they played here because of the storms. I respect that and what they have accomplished on the field.

That said, LSU is a far cry from Michigan. The Tigers have had to listen to this talk, this hype. I think our kids are tired of it. I know I am. I think LSU will play very physical, pushing the running game and playing defense with abandon. Nothing special, just solid football. These two squads don't compare well when you get down to it. I'm not saying it'll be a rout. But it will be an easy victory where App. St. gets back on the plane, bruised and battered, knowing full well what it means to play the very best in Div. I-A football.

  1. i think if they hadn't of beaten michigan last year, an upset here would be real possible. but lsu will be on guard too much after that.

  2. oh yes, there's no sneaking up on LSU. If anything, it's to ASU's detriment, because the Tigers know there's somewhat of a spotlight on this game. All the more reason to make a statement.
