Outgoing Mail

In American warfare vernacular, outgoing mail is a term for friendly artillery intended for the enemy. Here at Tigerbait, it's a you tube to get you in the the right mood about the Tiger's whipping their next opponent and just getting out of the office for the weekend. I give you: Your Number Is One by Henry Rollins and Mother Superior.

Rollins is one of my main guys. This is a more recent song put out with a trio he worked with, Mother Superior. Many might be familiar with the music he made in Rollins Band. But this is a different animal. It still has some jazz elements to it that Rollins' music incorporated but it's different in that not as heavy as Rollins Band and a bit less free ranging. Whatever, I dig it and just felt like throwing it down.

It's sad to say that Outgoing Mail will never bring you some music because those dinosaurs at Sony BMG, Universal and the like don't like you embedding videos from certain artists, be they current or past their time. I just love this idea since it only hurts the artists whose property they are trying to protect. It's just dumb. Anytime you restrict content on the internet, the guys throwing it out there for free are going to pass you by. I see no positive reason for restricting distribution like that. It's free and available on youtube, what difference does it make to have it elsewhere?
